pHin Monitor Range Issues

Last Updated -

This article includes tips for correcting monitor range issues found by the Mobile App Troubleshooting Tool.

The pHin Monitor uses a short-range radio to send sensor readings to your pHin Bridge. Obstacles such as concrete features, walls and even windows can reduce the range. If your pHin Monitor’s signal cannot be received by the bridge, then your monitor will eventually become “disconnected,” which you will see in the pHin Mobile App’s home screen.

If your pHin Monitor is out of range try one or more of the following:

Move your pHin Bridge to your home’s outer wall, at an outlet as close to the pHin Monitor as possible.

Tether your pHin Monitor closer to your Bridge. When tethering, consider the “line of sight” from the Monitor to the Bridge. If the wall of a pool might be blocking the signal, tether the Monitor to a side wall.

‚ÄčRelocate obstacles such as furniture away from the signal path between your Monitor and Bridge.

After correcting one or more range problems, re-run the troubleshooting to see if the problem has been fixed.
